Tennessee
Youth Achievement Award
I was very honored to receive the Tennessee Youth Achievement
Award from Governor Phil Bredeson of the State of Tennessee. The
award was presented to me for community service, and my
achievements in golf.
Player of the Year – Tennessee Golf Association (TGA)
In my first year on the TGA junior tour, I received the “Player
of the Year “award for the state in my eight thru eleven age
group. The award was very special being that I was the first
African American junior golfer to do so. It was very cool!
Tiger Woods Foundation
This year I was fortunate to be selected to the prestigious
Tiger Woods Foundation National Junior Golf Team. The team is
made up of some of the top junior golfers in the country. This
is the fifth consecutive year for me to be chosen on the team,
and a first for a Memphis City School student.
Micah’s Children Foundation
This year I served as Honorary Chairperson of the Micah’s
Children Foundation Golf Classic. The foundation is very unique,
and I am proud to be associated with a worthy cause such as
this. As chairperson I met with event sponsors, and interviewed
on KCOH Radio where a portion of the movie “Ray” was filmed.

Rainbow/Push
I recently attended the Annual Rainbow Push Coalition Sports
Banquet in Chicago, IL. There I was the only child recognized
with professional athletes for their accomplishments. I got a
chance to meet Rev. Jessie Jackson and other famous people.
